4th module of the 7th Cycle to the Intermediate level

Portugal organized through its Institute of Higher Military Studies (IESM) in coordination with the National Defence Policy Directorate of the Portuguese Ministry of National Defence, the fourth module of the Intermediate Level Course, under the 7th Course of studies of the 5+5 Defence College, in the current year. The module had the focus on the theme approved by the Academic Committee of the Defence College -"Civil-Military Cooperation at the Operational Level".

Thus, the Civil-military cooperation was one of the priority topics for analysis and debate, in accordance with the recommended. All the Member countries of the 5+5 Defence Initiative were present in Portugal. The IESM received 22 Auditors, belonging to the following countries: Algeria, France, Italy, Libya, Malta, Mauritania, Morocco, Portugal, Spain and Tunisia.

In the light of experience and shared knowledge, deepening the dialogue on military affairs, brought inevitable advantages for understanding and knowledge among the military and, therefore, increased the spirit of military cooperation among the Member countries of the 5+5 Defence Initiative.
