12th Academic Committee

As every year at this time, France has hosted the 10 and 11 February 2015, at the Ecole Militaire in Paris, the 12th meeting of the academic committee of the College 5+5 Defence.

Under the chairmanship of colonel ADAM, from Directorate General for International Relations and Strategy (DGRIS) and representative of France to the steering committee of the 5 +5 Defence, 9 members attended the meeting: Algeria (LCL MERAKCHI and CAP MOUMDJI), France (COL BELLAMY, permanent secretary of  the College, LCL SENS and CF DANIEL), Italy (MAJ PIETRINI), Malta (MAJ PISANI) , Mauritania (COL TALEB ABEIDY and LCL GANDEGA), the Morocco (LCL REZOUNI), Portugal (LCL CARRICO and SANCHES), Spain (COL CAYETANO and Mrs. Prof. ALGORA ) and Tunisia (COL HAJLAOUI and CHERNI).

During this meeting, the academic committee has completed the schedule of activities of the College 5 +5 Defence at three levels (Senior, Intermediate and Junior) from 2015-2016 to 2018- 2019 cycles and agreed on the proposed themes at the Intermediate and Senior levels for the 2016- 2017 cycle. The results of work on the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of activities of the College were presented by the permanent secretary of the College.

Participants also made some recommendations which will be presented to the steering committee in Tunis, the 10 and 11 March.

The next meeting of the academic committee will be hosted by Tunisia on September 2015.
